There is something special about spring for Cincinnati Family Photographers.
After months of gray skies, bare trees, and cold temperatures, the city begins to wake up again. Bright green leaves pop, flowers start to bloom, and the golden evening light seems to linger just a little longer. It's a season that reminds us that new beginnings are all around us.

That feeling made this maternity session with Katie and Ian especially meaningful.
Photographed on a beautiful April evening, their session captured a season of life filled with anticipation, change, and excitement.
The weather itself seemed to reflect the moment perfectly—warm sunshine mixed with a cool breeze, vibrant spring greens, and an unforgettable orange sunset over the water.

As we walked through the park and along the lake, it was impossible not to notice how much was changing around them. Katie and Ian are preparing for one of life's biggest adventures: welcoming a new baby into their family. At the same time, they're settling into a new home and a new neighborhood, creating space for new memories and traditions.

It's a season that holds both endings and beginnings.
One chapter is gently coming to a close while another is just beginning. The anticipation, excitement, and uncertainty of the "in-between" can be overwhelming at times, but it is also incredibly beautiful.

One of my favorite things about maternity photography is preserving these fleeting moments before everything changes. The quiet anticipation. The gentle touches. The way parents look at one another when they start imagining the future. These moments may seem small now, but years from now they become part of a family's story.
Katie and Ian, thank you for trusting me to document this season for your family. It was such a joy to spend the evening with you and capture these memories before your newest adventure begins.

Whether you're expecting, or wrangling a wild crew of teenagers, or maybe even somewhere in between. I'd love to help you preserve this chapter of your story.
